There are four essential elements of a beautiful, long-lasting manicure and pedicure.

1) Make sure nails are clean and dry. Before applying polish, always wipe natural nails with nail polish remover to eliminate any debris or oils that can prevent polish from adhering.

2) Always use a base coat or nail treatment, such as Borghese Magnetico Adhesive Base Coat or Borghese Duro Nail Strengthener. Glide it onto your bare nails thinly before applying nail polish.

If you already have discoloration caused by dark polish, gently lighten it by filling a small bowl three quarters full with water, adding a small amount of hydrogen peroxide and soaking your nails for ten minutes. To eliminate more difficult stains, take a nailbrush and a little whitening toothpaste and rub briskly across your nails for a few minutes before rinsing with water. Pat dry and apply Intensiva Cuticle Cream to moisturize and soothe.
