Borghese Nail Care Helps Women Around the World

Borghese is proud to partner with Women for Women, a non-profit organization dedicated to lifting women in wartorn regions from poverty by helping them become self-sufficient through employment and entrepreneurship.

Here is one of the deserving women who is being helped by Women for Women's programs:

Pacasie is a 19 year old woman from Rwanda. She shares a room with her four young sons and two younger sisters. Her home has no electricity or running water. Pacasie is a strong young woman. She has lost loved ones to the horrors of war and genocide, yet she dreams of building a better, brighter future for herself and her children. Although she strives to improve her family's economic situation, she lacks the job skills needed to earn a good wage for her large family, in a society where women have traditionally lacked basic rights and social and economic power.

Women for Women provides the tools, resources and support for women to lift themselves out of poverty and take control of the lives. Through vocational and technical skills training, microcredit loans and other income generation support, and leadership training, women like Pacasie are empowered to find employment or start their own home-based businesses.
